Husky anti-sway question

I have (and like) the Husky hitch system with one of the anti-sway brake pad devices.

I have a chance to add a second one of these on the other side of the hitch. My thought is 2 of these devices would be better than one....but I never see anyone using a second one.

Thoughts? Mainly is there a reason NOT to use the second device on the other side?

Thank you!!

Do you have sway issues with just one?
If yes, then YES, buy a second one.
If no, then what would be the reason to add a second one?

IIRC, Husky says you need 2 *if* your trailer is longer than 26 feet. Mine is 23', one is just fine on ours.

Haven't had any issues to date, but I just figured more safety is better and I can get it for FREE

And it's longer than 26 feet. So I think I'll grab it.

Thank you guys!

Yes, with the length/weight of a loaded 34RSBS having 2 friction sway control bars will enhance TV handling dramatically during an aggressive TV maneuver and/or sway event.

I use two all the time. Works great and TV never moves around. I tow various things behind my 2006 Jayco Seneca, including a 30 foot enclosed car trailer. Tows like a dream with the two anti-sway devices. Of course, I have the correct load leveling bars and the trailer and RV combo was professionally set up by my "go to" trailer guy. Checked the tongue weight and weight distribution, etc. The car trailer weighs 10,000 lbs when loaded. The whole works goes down the highway like a dream.

I use 2 Husky Sway Control on a 31 ft. travelling in windy area's you need it for your own safety. The weight of the 1/2 ton TV is about the same as the TT and in a fairly heavy windy conditions the side wind wants to play. The Husky's are then set on 2.5 turns.

Some good suggestions here. I have a more basic response. If you are asking about safety, and it doesn't hurt to "install it," I would go ahead and install it. When you asked the question, it was because of some "concern." Install it and then enjoy your trip because you will have one less concern .

I have a 23 footer with one Husky anti-sway bar. Have been through some 25 - 30 MPH winds and the TT barely moved. If I were driving in much heavier winds I would slow down, stay in the right lane, and pull off if I was uncomfortable.
