Installing a vent fan wall switch

The switch for the bathroom vent fan is located up inside the ceiling vent. Being vertically challenged, my wife cannot reach it.

How can I put a switch on the wall and, how would you conceal the wiring?

Do you have a switch for the light lower down somewhere? It may be possible to to connect the two together so the fan can come on when you turn on the light depending on how things are wired. I know in my bathroom they have used a 6 inch piece of wall material to block off a corner in the bathroom. It runs from floor to ceiling. I suspect the back tank vent stack runs up there. I could remove this and run wires for a wall switch if I needed to but my trailer came wired with switches for both the fan and light lower down. You could ask the service guys at your dealer for how they would approach it. Hope this helps.

My light switch is on the wall. Would have been nice if they would have wired them together or placed a switch on the wall, but it is what it is.

I can put in a switch myself but just do not like having exposed wires.

The switch is sorely needed because it seems like every time my eyes go shut for a "short" nap is when MDW needs the fan.

I know it would be nice to give her a real switch, but my wife, with the same problem, simply asked me to make her a short wooden pole to activate both the fan switch and the crank to open the vent. I used a 1/2" wooden dowel 18" long, put a round disc with 4 short "fingers" on one end to allow her to turn the vent crank, and drilled the other end for a wooden cross "tee", which acts as a handle. We keep it beside the toilet, and it works great for her. Also a lot simpler and cheaper than messing with wiring and placement of a switch. Just a thought.
