Installing solar and Lithium battery

2 small questions.

I intend to use the Renogy provided mounting brackets for my solar panel install. Would it be a good idea to put a small patch of Etearnabond under the foot of the bracket before drilling and installing? I plan to coat the top of the screws with Dicor and a squirt down the drilled hole. I may patch over the bolt heads with Etearnabond later.

To simplify installation of the battery (100 amp Lithium Renogy) inside the RV under the front bed I plan to drill through the floor and pull the two battery cables inside. Is there a problem with doing that? I don't see any but I am aiming at simplicity and speed of install as time to do it is very limited. Save cutting bottom open and trying to figure out which wires to connect up.

I would definitely put something down before screwing the bracket down. What I did was place the panel with the brackets on the roof, pilot drill all your holes and then put down a good blob of Dicor, set the panel in place and then screwed it down. After all the panels were put down, I went back and covered the bracket and screws with dicor, completely covering the foot on the roof.

X2 - although eternabond seems to be everyone's go to fix all for sealants it would not be good to be used as a fay type sealant. Decor, Gocel or other non-silicon type sealant would work better. Then if you have to overlay it with eternabond. My preference would be self leveling Dicor type sealant (my preference).

This is exactly what I did. No tape patches or anything fancy.. Just pre-drill all of the holes, apply a good amount of dicor around them, install the bracket, and more dicor. Done.
