Jack mounting

I bought a Fulton Bulldog 4000lb electric jack for my trailer. Picked it up and installed it when we got to our site. I am having trouble with the head of the jack hitting the propane tank cover. I mounted the jack sideways, is there some kind of a mod I can do to get this facing forward. I cant move my tanks back, I was looking at a different cover from Camco that had a bit of a notch in the middle. I thought I got a jack that had a smaller head. Ebay purchase.

I know what you mean... I have to stand on the A frame to get my tank cover off.
