Just got a "free" Samsung tablet.

Had to get a new phone Friday, and the Verizon store was giving out "free" Samsung tablets. Had to get another line for the "free" tablet.

But in any case, I'll be using it mostly when on the road with the trailer. What apps would you suggest I add to it?

I plan on getting the "Gas Buddy" app and a campground app. Are there multiple CG apps and if so, what's the best one?

Is there a good GPS or routing app? Also, is there a good app that shows road conditions?

And lastly is there a good weather warning app that would sound off should there be bad weather ahead, such as tornado warnings, or high wind warnings?

Thanks.

Try MyRadar which is very easy and helpful. Also ALLSTAYS Campground is a must have!

Which MyRadar are you using? When I Googled it I found a bunch by different vendors.

Not Sure. It is MyRadar and maybe it is from Acme. Can’t attach a photo. It is free but offers upgrades to pro version.

If your tablet has cellular service and a GPS chip, then google maps offers excellent maps, integration with your desktop/other devices, turn by turn navigation, and is free. If you want "offline" maps, that you can use without any cellular data or wifi while you are on the road, I have used Here Maps and Co-Pilot GPS, both allow all maps to be stored on the device, like a normal GPS

WAZE is similar to Google Maps and has a built-in traffic advisory component. I still use Google maps though, what you learn first I guess.

Does WAZE use a lot of data when it's on real time GPS?

I use it daily whenever I am driving. It averages 50-60mb / month.
