Leaking Fitting Question, Please Help!

Hi,

We are new full-timers ... last day of work was today. We also closed on our home. We have a small leak under the sink with the line that comes out of the hot water tank. We are tightening the fitting a little at a time, but wondering if we just need to replace it. It's not easy to get to in our Jayco Designer 3240FL Class C. Has any one found a better way to get to the fittings? I'll include a picture of what is leaking.



It's the white pipe that connect to the hot water tank.

Would appreciate any help and sorry that I couldn't post in the correct area.

If it's a small leak, I've had luck with putting Plumbers Putty on something that is a pain to get out and do right.
It's a 2 piece epoxy putty at any big box store, Home depot, Lowes etc.

Just blend the 2 parts together and mash it around there real good.

Otherwise, I would take the fitting out, tape and replace.

Looks like its time to get out the Ben Gay. Possibly the heat from the tank may have made the connection leak. It's not unusual for new trailers to have a small leak somewhere. Mine had one almost in the same area. It was the piece you take out for the water filter. After that I snugged up most of our connections. I think your on the right track. When the tank is hot , just reach in and try turning it a little. Check the results and do it again if need be. Be careful not to over tighten . You could always take it to the dealer and have them do it.
