LED Control

After seeing so many people using LED strips on the inside and outside of their camper and looking at how many are wiring them up, I thought there may be a better way to control them, and I have found it.

The NZXT Hue

Infinite color options that you can customize to your heart's content
Three RGB controls to adjust the color settings, brightness level, and pulse speed of the internal LED sleeve
On/off mode to completely disable the LEDs
Effect modes: normal, fading, flashing, and pulsating of colors
Internal LED sleeves that vibrantly illuminates and accents your chassis based on your liking
Unique mesh design that blends flawlessly into any chassis with a mesh front panel

You can use a computer case like the Corsair 250D

Or any size case that has a 5.25" drive bay.

And one of the smaller cheap power supplies.

One of these jump start plugs come in handy too.

This setup will give you the option of plugging into one of any electrical outlets in your RV to run your LED setup. You may need to make some extension wires for the LED lights, unless you run them into the cabinet where you are going to store the computer case.

If you want to go ahead on setup a full PC, and wire it to your TV and get a Blue Tooth keyboard and mouse, you can, but its not necessary.

I know this mod is not for everyone, but if you like playing with PC's such as me, and doing crazy computer mods, then this idea may be for you.

That thing looks huge ... Probably a power hog to convert 110 back go DC for LEDs.

A PC power supply is a little old school when you can get perfectly good 12V only converters for cheap now. Just search '12v power supply 10a' on e-bay. You can get them for about $30. They are much smaller than a PC power supply that has to do several different voltages and rails.

Like mentioned though, my trailer and I assume most already have a 12V converter. I don't know, I don't have a lot of experience with RV/Campers yet.

I have not worked with the RGB LED strips before, but there are a lot of cheap controllers available with crazy IR remotes on e-bay for $10 or less. You can get ones with a bunch of separate outputs as well. Not certain why you would want RGB's, though, except for the fun of it. They don't do white all that well.
