LFP and inverter on Melbourne 24K

Hi Guys,

I’m in the process of upgrading to Lithium batteries (LFP) and a 2000W inverter in my Melbourne 24K.

My setup will be:
280 Ah LifePo4 in the same place as the standard house battery. A DC/DC charger between engine start and house LFP.

Solar panels and regulator to charge LFP.

A 2000 W pure sinus inverter close to the battery.

I have two questions:

DC/DC charger.
Any experience what to buy would be highly appreciated. Does the Sprinter need a Special DC/DC designed for regenerative breaking/Euro 6. Or can a Renogy
DC/DC charger be used?

Inverter:
The inverter will be installed close to batteries. My problem is where/how II tap in to the 110V circuit?

Anyone who knows where the transfer switch is located?

Any advice would be appreciated.

You can also pose this question on the Sprinter-forum site. Not very many Melbourne owners but several threads on lithium battery conversions and installs that would be relevant to your questions.

Did you ever find the transfer switch? I'm looking to upgrade my 24K too. started taking off the bed, but there was another sheet of plywood underneath... im still sorting on how to get that off, with the slide on top.

I'm interested in this, too. I upgraded my house battery last year but need to install a dc to dc charger to enable my portable solar to maintain my AGM chassis battery over the winter as well as limit alternator output to the house lithium. 50+ amp charging while driving down the road seems a bit high to me.
I need to figure out where to install the charger and how to wire it up.

I've got a 2017 Melbourne 24L.
