Lifter for bed in 264 bh

I was wondering if it would be possible to install lifters ( like on the hood of a car) on the bed in my 264bh. The large storage area underneath requires you to lift the bed but it offen takes two to get things out, 1 to lift and 1 to get the items.

Welcome to the forum. This recent discussion on the subject of adding gas struts to lift the bed may interest you.

We purchased a '13 267BHS last fall and after 2 trips I decided the bed lifts were to be the first mod. If you haven't already completed the mod(I see you posted on 6-1), it was super easy. I bought the gas struts and brackets at our dealer. They were actually cheaper than the auto parts stores. If you are interested I can get part numbers from the struts and pics if you would like, again assuming you don't have it completed already.

I just picked up a hatchlift kit at campers world, My question is the directions do not give me a distance from top rail of bed frame to top of lower mounting bracket. I called the help #number. Left a message no reply. Any help would be great.
I'm mounting this on a 2013 White Hawk 28dsbh '

I'd like lifters, as well, but I'm too cheap! So I just put in a couple 1 x 2's. I do agree the lifters would be much nicer, though.
