Lights flicker and "thump" heard when furnace igniting

I have a rather new 377RLBH with a Dometic 40k BTU furnace. Recently, I have had an intermittent problem with the lights flickering and a "thump" sound coming from the undercarriage when the furnace ignites. It doesn't do so all the time, but at least 1/2 of the ignition cycles.

Anyone seen/heard of such a situation? For what it's worth, I'm plugged into "good" 50 amp shore power and the digital voltmeter on the solar controller reads 13-14v during the ignition cycles in question.

Several threads about it. The dimmer needs a filter of some sort, and thermostat needs a direct power and ground. The lights flicker when the furnace sparks. The thermostat (if digital) will probably reset to 72 degrees at the same time from voltage drop.

This problem was more than an annoyance for us. The lights would flicker whether they were on, or off. Middle of the night, lights flashing didn't make DW very happy.

Most of the linked threads have to do with flickering LED lights; one thread does mention a power surge when the furnace starts, but suggestions regarding dimmers on the lights don't seem to be particularly relevant to me in so far as this new model has almost all electronic light controls. The "thump" when it starts is also a symptom I don't see mentioned elsewhere. Anyone else ran into this combination of symptoms?

Step outside when lighting the furnace. I think the thump you are describing is the rush of flame when it lights. At least mine does.

Follow up on this:

The noise heard when the 12v system suffered high current draw was the solenoid motors on the leveling system re-setting. Thunk!

Had a mobile tech open up the burner assembly; he discovered a number of components were misaligned. He straightened out the igniter and the jet outlet from the regulator, and no more ignition problems. Real strange.

Interesting. I don't have the leveling system. Mine reset the digital thermostat to 72 degrees every time.
