Locking Plug Inlet - Vanity Issues?
Looking to modify our new WhiteHawk to a 30amp twist-lock type power inlet. I have found the inlet that I wish to use but can't seem to find the cord I would like to have. The inlet is black and matches to the rest of the exterior TT covers. I would also like to find a 30' locking angled cord with the threaded body in black and therein lies the problem. Everything I find with the angled cap and locking ring is yellow as pictured here. Yes, I know the yellow will be just fine functionally. And yes, I know a straight connector rather than an angled cap will cause no problems either. The thing is this...the TT is brand new, I have all winter to come up with this, and I think the angled cap and black cord will be so much sleeker in use. OK, so by now you realize it's nothing more than a vanity issue at the root of my search. What can I say? I like what I like. Any help would be appreciated.

If you want a better quality setup look at the 30 Amp SmartPlug 30’ RV Cordset & Inlet. This is a newer power system now being offered on high end RVs, cost was about $180. After watching a boat burn at my marina due to a Marino twist lock cord I have switched over to the Smartplug system for my boat and RV. The fire chief told us that these twist lock cords and plugs are prone to overheating with age which in most cases cause a fire at the inlet plug. Do a Google search for some pictures on the melted plugs.

Funny you should mention that song. One of the verses talks about going to Saratoga and having your horse win. The "Summer Place to Be" for horse racing is just a 15 minute drive from my home.

And I'm due South of you by 2 hours. The Ex- and I spent some spring weekends in your neighborhood.
And none of this gets you any closer to a black cord.

Here is what you want and then add a black Furrion cord. This is what Jayco put on my unit only in 50A.
Furrion F30INSBS

There is a couple of KITS for doing this and what they want you to do is cut the pull out cable and connect that to the new twist lock setup. Then you can use the long 30A cable you cut to mount a provided twist connector plug to it...

But the locking ring is color coordinated with the outlet color.
