Melbourne water heater fault light on

The light on the control panel comes on when using the water heater on electric and also when using propane. Is this a common problem?

Normal and not a problem on mine. Don’t know what year Melbourne you have but on mine the light lets you know it is on.
This is assuming you are talking about the light on the switch.

Thanks for your reply. Should have said the FLT (fault) light comes on whether the water heater is using electric or gas. It usually comes on after a short time (maybe 5 minutes or less). The water is getting hot on both electric and gas. Don't know if the water is still being heated when then FLT light is on. 2019 Melbourne Prestige 24L
