I installed it on my 28BHBE and LOVE it.
It really isn't hard to install. Remove the start capacitor and look at the schematics on the AC plate.
Micro Air sends a wiring diagram which I thought was very clear which wires go where.
Took me about 45 minutes to install.
If ordering from Micro-Air. Use AIRSTREAM in the coupon code and get $40.00 off.

Going to climb up on the roof get the ID number off AC. On micro Airs site if you have model number they route you to a wiring diagram page and suggested placement of processor. Thanks for info did get the 40 dollar discount!!

15K and have no issues running my trailer/AC on 1 2000 watt Yamaha inverter Genny. However, because when we boondock, kids like lights for playing games.... etc at night, I usually run my (2) yamahas in parallel. They just putt away in slow economy mode and really do not speed up a whole lot when the AC kicks in.
When running (1) 2000 Watt generator, it putts away in economy mode but speeds up more just before the AC kicks on.

This is on my bucket list of mods for the future. I'd love to see someone's install step by step on a Colman Mach if anyone has a link to a post or article.

Microair soft start

We did the mod about a month ago mainly because we camp at high altitude 7000'. According to Champion are 3500 inverter would not start ac at that altitude.Only 4 wires to hook we had are ac guy do the install about an hour.Did try ac on generator in Phoenix on eco start barely made the genny groan. Will be in Prescott next weekend at 5500' will see how she works! Then up to Flagstaff real test! Thanks

Not really a step-by-step but there's some install pictures under my mod thread -

I followed the video posted by DavidJay in post #10 of this thread to install a MicroAir on my Coleman-Haas 13500 BTU AC. Prior to installing I did print out some video screen shots of wires, connections, attachment points, etc. because I knew I wasn't going to be watching videos while I was on top of the trailer. I just left the capacitor diconnected in there rather than remove it.

Thats a good idea to leave the capacitor disconnected and in place.

I should be receiving mine today. Will probably install it this weekend and will bring a can of wasp spray up on the roof with me for the initial reconnaissance .

The paper wasp nests pop all all over my perimeter. The camper alone they were inside water heater cavity, under the propane tank covers, and both Maxx air vents. I fully expect to see them under the AC cover

I have a Yamaha 2000 ISCH that boosts to 2400 and it has started my AC before so it should be no problem after the Micro-air unit is installed. I also have a Champion Dual fuel 3500 (3100 running) that I would like to run in ECO mode

So I had 2 paper wasp nests under the cover and a when I removed the metal cover to get at the wiring, had a mud dauber wasp nest attached to one of the wires !!

After dealing with them, I installed the soft start unit and happy to say my 2000 watt Yamaha will start my 15K Coleman AC !

I have recently installed 2 of these on my coleman mach 15 ac’s in my 2018 eagle 322RLOK.

They work great - I had installed a hard wired ems 50 and every time the ac would start while on generator the ems would chatter and I couldn’t run both ac’s. At the same time without overloading my generator

Now the ems no longer chatters and I can run both ac’s simultaneously on my Westinghouse igen4500 added bonus I can run my main ac and converter from my smaller Yamaha 2400.
