New 2017 Octane SL 272 questions

Just purchased new camper last week. Was wondering if anyone knows how to figure out how to figure how to determine fresh water capacity of camper. Getting different stories from dealer. Guy giving me orientation saw two low point drains next to each other and said he thought there were two fresh water tanks. Nice enough guy but I wasn’t overly impressed with his technical knowledge. Also looking for any other tid bits of advice on this model. Not new to th trailers. Had two others before this. Any advice would be appreciated
Also looking for any storage mods people have done with bunks in bunkhouse models.

Fresh water capacity

I agree with your specs but this is what it shows in their brochure. Shows 102 gallon fresh water capacity with water heater. One of the reasons I purchased was the larger water capacity. im confused which it is. I’ve been told both by guys at dealership. There are two low point drains right next to each other. Is this a way to tell?

Is the underbelly of your trailer enclosed or open? If you look underneath and see only one white tank, you will likely have in the range of 42-50gal fresh water capacity. If you see 2 white tanks (usually linked by a large hose) then you will likely have 80+ gal fresh water capacity. You are correct in stating that the water heater capacity is included in the total fresh water capacity, even though that capacity technically isn't usable.

You can also email Jayco along with your VIN and ask them the water capacity. It seems strange to only have 48 gallons of fresh water as listed but have a total of just over 90 gallons for black/gray waste.

I agree with emailing Jayco. Belly is enclosed and trailer in storage already. I was hoping the two low point drains would be verification. It on past trailers I’ve had a hot and cold low point drain. Thanks for your help

The two low point drains have nothing directly to do with the fresh water tanks. One of those is to drain the cold water side and the other to drain the hot water lines.

If you have 2 fresh water tank drains, each should have a petcock drain spigot. They would be right under where the fresh water tank(s) is/are.

Now on my 23RB, the factory mislabeled the fresh water tank drains. They are labeled Low Point Drains. In fact, the Low Point Drains are just behind the second axle.
