I just upgraded my batteries from two 12V group 24 deep cycle marine (because one was dry and the other was 7 yrs old) to two 6v golf cart batteries. I bought them at NAPA, as they are the supplier for the local golf course. these are no-name brands, but just like more expensive Interstate batteries, my new ones are also made my Johnson Controls.
I have a 4 day Boondock trip coming up, I will see how they do. Now off to Amazon to buy new battery boxes. These suckers are 2 inches taller than grp 24 and HEAVY.
I had a custom battery tray welded to hold four. Cost me $20. Using standard battery boxes. How long they last all depends on how you use them. Four days is no big deal for just lights and water pump.
