This is great news. I have a service contract on my Pinnacle. I was told it was covered but I know how it works sometimes. I put it off waiting for the battery less tablet. I wonder how available they are.

But notice, no apologies from BMPRO for a bad design. Don't even offer anything free, just apologize and say we will do better.

Or offer a steep discount for those of us who have put up with it for 4 years, or more, or less.

We just picked up our replacement tablet today, through our extended warranty deductible. Our old tablet was not holding a charge at all. I hope this no battery option fits the bill! Out local dealership had a couple replacements in stock!

So... is this just the same tablet and software, just without a battery? What is stopping the rest of us from removing the battery?

I wonder if the wiring and circuit board is different than the original?
It would have been quite expensive without our extended warranty coverage....so I'm guessing there is some internal difference. *♀️
Maybe take the battery out and see ?

It may come to that. Or I could do a factory reset. I am having serious power issues. I can have it on charge and watch the percentage drop a point every 3-5 minutes.
Someone in the Fifth Wheel forum said they tried booting the tablet without the battery when they were replacing the battery, and it would not boot.

Our original tablet would not reboot either, but we assumed it was because the battery wouldn't hold a charge. Also, just before we threw in the towel and called the dealer we noticed the tablet was very warm while charging.
I hope you find a solution. I also hope this new tablet is our solution.
Interestingly, we were able to control all camper functions through our phone BMPRO app throughout this process.

Your system functioned as designed, meaning the phone App.It works off Bluetooth as well as the tablet. They connect directly to the node independent of each other.

Our dealer had the new tablets in stock. Maybe that's how the manufacturer is apologizing for the previous issues. The fix is available.
