No 12v power with shore line plugged in

Hi all
Newbie to these forums so I apologize if this is the wrong place for this post. I have a 2018 jayco jaysport 10sd pup and none of my 12v accessories will work while plugged into the shore line. Everything requiring 120v works fine. All my outlets are good, the fridge runs fine. But none of my interior lights or fans or stereo system work. I’ve checked all the wiring I can without ripping things apart and am getting correct voltage. The breakers and fuses all tested fine. Is there some main wire I should be looking for that may be cut that could be causing my problems? Or does anyone have any other solutions?

Thanks

I should also add that when switched to 12v nothing works

I interpret that you don't have ANY 12vdc lighting in operation, whether hooked to shore power or not.
I suppose the most obvious questions to start with might be;
Is there an on-board battery?
Is there an on-board convertor, and is it functional?
Might the breaker for the convertor be tripped?
Might you have a blown fuse on the 12volt side?

Is the main power switch turned on?

There is an on board battery, fully charged. It also takes a charge when plugged into shore. There is a converter. Both breakers are working and not tripped. All fuses are good at the converter and good voltage on both sides of all fuses. The in line battery fuse was tripped and replaced and remains fine. I’m not aware of any other fuses.

There are 2 switches. 1 for 120v and 1 for 12v. When 120 is on all outlets, fridge works but no 12v lighting or fans. When 12v is on nothing works

To isolate the problem, I would check for current at each light and outlet.

I had three pop-ups and all had a switch that turned off power to the ceiling and eleswhere in some cases. The switch was a button on the edge of the wall where the roof coming down turned it off.

You might check and see if this switch went bad or just stuck.

So is that something that’s just supposed to switch on and off as the roof goes up and down? I’ve never seen one or ever had to use it and I don’t remember any mention of it in the manual but I’ll go have a look. Thanks

By outlets do you mean 120 volt AC plugs or 12 volt cigarette style outlets??.
All lights, furnace fans, fridge light or fan run on 12 volts.

When I said outlets I meant 120 wall outlets. Everything that runs 12v is off. Fridge light, interior lights, stereo, exhaust fan, mini fans and lights that go over the beds

I did find that switch you mentioned. It has 12v on both sides. I was messing around with the actual button on the switch, blew a fuse, replaced it and now I’m back where I started

I just did it again and blew another fuse. I’m guessing the switch is the problem? Not sure why I’d have voltage on both sides and not have power to my lights. Maybe I’ll take it out and wire it direct

Better to replace it although a temp fix may give you a clue if you have found the problem.

The reason for the switch is to prevent closing the camper with lights on and causing a fire. Which is also a great reason to replace all lights with LED bulbs or fixtures. Less pull on the battery if you are camping dry and less heat in the camper. Also, to a lesser extent, less cause for a fire.

Yeah, it would just be to see if it’s the problem. And all of my lights are already LED so I’m lucky there

It sounds like all the 12 volt stuff that is inop is in the ceiling.
Might I suggest you start looking closely at your ceiling wiring? If you have an intermittent fuse blow problem that is related to the ceiling wiring, you may have an intermittent short, or broken wire that is grounding out occasionally. Might even be a light fixture that is grounding on the hidden backside.

So with the switch removed and direct wired I blow a fuse every time I turn the 120 on. What’s everyone’s thoughts on that? Somewhere along that wire I have a short?

I would say yes, there is a short. Even leaving the switch into the equation, it still resembles a direct short that is blowing fuses.
