One satellite 2 TV's?

So, Jayco decided to run the satellite and main TV connections to the bedroom TV which causes an issue if you want HDTV in the living room via Satellite. My solution was to install a second Satellite only jack for the living room, but the next problem is how to get Satellite to the bedroom TV.

One solution is to buy an HDMI splitter and a really long HDMI cable. This seemed like a lot of work for me.

My solution. I bought an HDMI wireless extender. The device I bought has 2 inputs for HD, but I am only using one. It allows the living room TV to still have HDMI, and it also transmits the signal to the bedroom TV which has a receiver and hooks up via HDMI as well.

The picture is perfect! The obvious drawback is both TV's have to watch the same Satellite channel, but in my case that's not a problem.

Because it's wireless, I can take the receiver and a TV outside and have High Def satellite there as well!

It's not cheap, but when not in use in the camper, it's hooked up at home!

When I was doing it I ran two RG cables from the SATELLITE DISH DUAL HEAD PORT into the trailer. Each RG CABLE fed a separate SAT RCVR at both living room and bedroom locations. Then I came out of the VIDEO CONNECTIONs from the SAT RCVR and fed the VID 1 input of the HDTV setup. Now I can select SAT TV or CABLE TV using the HDTV REMOTE.

Each SAT RCVR gets its own SAT SIGNAL from the DUAL HEAD PORTS of the DISH and can watch what they want to...

This works well with the STANDARD SAT TV setup. Have no idea how the HIGH DEF SAT DISH has to be setup for the newer SAT TV setups.

We use one satellite feed into the cable/sat input. Then run a splitter to the main room sat receiver and hdmi output to the main tv. The second splitter line loops into the B part of the AB switch which takes the signal to the rear bedroom. Hook up a second receiver there and can watch whatever on satellite or TV on both main TV and bedroom TV. Wife loves it, specially during football season.

With the one I bought there's a transmitter and receiver. The transmitter has 2 HDMI in jacks and 1 out, so it also acts as an HDMI switch. I hook the satellite to the transmitter, then the transmitter to the main TV. The receiver hooks to the second TV via HDMI and has a remote to switch the inputs on the transmitter.
