P3 settings

Eagle 5er.

Factory GWVR. 11,200

Following the setup for the P3, it says:

set power to 6.0
25mph on flat surface
Engage brakes with manual lever

Point just below where wheels lock up is the correct power setting.

I had to set up at 8.0

Anyone else close to that power setting?

I'm a 8.5 on my Jayfeather x20e. My boat trailer is a 9.5.

I installed my P3 last week, and picked up my 17z this week.

I have yet to do the above mentioned 25mph test.

I was set at 2.7 the only time I towed it, and it seemed like I needed to bump it up. I'm guessing I should actually do the test next time I'm hitched up?

Seems odd to "hit the brakes" at 25mph though. I guess just make sure you are on a quiet street with no one behind you...

I've got mine at 7.5 and could probably go up just a little.

Thinking about it, I guess it's not about weight, but break setup, and voltage needed to fully engage/ lock them

Thanks
