Welcome to the forum. Don' get to frazelled with the new rig. You may find it all comes back and things don't change, just the technology.

If your rig is a 2019 and you are lucky, it may already have LED fixtures

You'll need AC at some point. Buy plug adapters for 50A to 30A and 20A to 30A.

Keep hitting this forum, it's a treasure trove of good reliable advice and ideas. Check out google and YouTube with a little grain of salt.

Best wishes to you, we all started in your shoes.

There's no problem at all doing that. You will not get 50amp to your trailer as 50amp service is 2 110v legs and the dog bone only uses one leg. No way it can cause a problem. The only reason to do that is if a 30amp is not available.

Add me to the list of folks who happily plug their 30 amp units into 50 amp service with an adapter using quality components.
That's a 30amp plug, not 20.

No different than plugging a 15, or 10, or less amp item into a 20 amp plug. Typical lamp is less than one amp... in a 15-20 amp receptacle.

You are just using and getting what you need.

Or the 30 amp is so slopped out you have a loose connection that will cause further problems.

I have yet to see a 50 amp plug wore out. Although I'm sure they are out there.

I have a Jayco sport 165 we use for hunting trips, we have stayed primitive camping for 3 nights with no problems. I use two batteries and one 100 watt solar panel. I have changed all bulbs to LED, I also added two additional 12v outlets to charge phones, gps etc.
