Plugging in my 30 Amp in Canada
We're in a Maine heading to Chicago. I keep looking at the map and thinking exploring Canada makes sense. But I just woke up wondering if I can simply plug into a Canadian outlet or if I need an adapter?
Any other tips or things I may be overlooking?

How's it goin' eh!
Another note...all our gas "up here" is cut with 10% ethanol, except for premium. Maybe a marina can get you straight gas but at a gas station don't even think about it. Hurt's mileage stat's bigtime.

You will find the plugs/ receptacles the same as the US. If it is your first time entering Canada I would recommend having a look at the CBSA site so you don’t run into any difficulties. Have a good trip and enjoy Canada.

Yes! Read the CBSA info and if in doubt, call them to clarify. They have been getting particularly difficult lately for some reason so I hear.

You can also use a passport card or enhanced DL, if you state issues them. And everyone in the vehicle will need the above. If you take a dog, you need rabies certificate (not collar tag) within the last 2 years.
Make cash exchanges at banks for the best rate and check with your CC to verify they will give you the conversion (US dollar worth more than Canadian). Also see if they charge a foreign exchange. Many charge 3% per transaction. Use on the cards with no foreign exchange charge. Those fees add up fast.
Provided above having worked for Homeland Security in International Falls, MN and crossed into Canada for shopping and dining on a regular basis before retiring to the Gnat Capital of the World, Tifton, GA.

No firewood, fireworks, or firearms. Seems like we've been grilled the most intensively about the first one (even when not pulling a trailer)...

Thank you. It was a pleasant couple days. The only issue was figuring out the pre authorization for gas in Quebec. My French is non existent.
My wife's sister and her husband took the US side route and paid a $66 toll in New York.

We also needlessly off loaded a case of wine to them to bring back to Texas. We weren't even asked about alcohol.
