Poor 12V connection... Slide and awning sluggish... Works fine on Shore Power

Just purchased a 10-year-old Jayco Eagle Super Lite 256RKS.
I have a new fully charged deep cycle battery.
Lights et al work fine, but for larger current dependent items like the slide or the awning it balks. I can push the slide in so it has some go, but not much. Both work fine on shore power.

I think it is a poor ground or positive connection on the 12V buss.

If it was a battery issue I should see a big voltage drop at the battery when trying to operate the slide, doesn't move...
I have checked at the battery and it seems to have a good ground to the frame of the trailer. I am working my way back on the positive side. Anyone have experience or ideas on this?

Thanks in advance!

I would double check at the battery post, and frame and also at the motor ground for the slide and awning. Also, check the fuse for corrosion or poor connections. If both work off same switch point check the connections there also.

Disconnect 12 volt battery... Disconnect shore power
Now open up the converter and remove the front panel
Check all the ground and positive
In the converter
Especially the connections from the battery
Be safe be smart

Fuse checked

Yeah, the fuse is a 20AMP resettable plug-in breaker.
It did seem to run a little better when I took it out and popped it back in...
I'll get a new one and give it a try.
Thanks.

Well, I replaced the 20Amp Fuse/Breaker... It did register a little bit of resistance on the Ohmeter. It didn't make much of a difference.
I then put new connectors at the battery as the old ones looked pretty sketchy. Seemed like a slight inprovement.

The slide still stops when trying to retract it on 12V, however it did it on AC too!
I gave the slide a little push and tried again and it came in on AC.

I am going to check the slide lubrication before I go any further...

Stay tuned!

I am making progress.
I was very careful in lubricating the slide several times as a I ran it in and out and it started to consistently go in and out on 12V.
I appreciate the input here and I am going to continue to make sure my connections are good.

I contacted the Jayco Customer Service Email and was able to secure Schematic for the Slide, The Fusebox and the Trailer Schematic. What service!

Stay tuned!
