Portable air compressor

Can anyone recommend a good portable air compressor? Preferably looking for one that can run on both 12volt and 120 AC. Want keep it in my trailer and use it for the air bags in my truck , adding air to tires, blowing out lines for winterizing, and bike tires...
Thanks in advance.

I purchased a Kobalt from Lowes they had a couple of different ones to choose from.

It has worked good for me and is small does not take up to much room.

I still use a big bulky compressor. I'm interested as well.

I have never seen one that would work off of DC and AC.

There are some, like B&D, that make a 12V/120V. Cigarette lighter and grounded 120V plug. They may even make one with a 120V plug and battery clamps...not sure tho.

I like my Slime compressor. I do not know the model I have, but it says it will fill a tire in 3 minutes, and I would guess it would be fairly true. Works great, fast for all my tires (max pressure I have is 55 psi). Has a long cord and hose. I added a couple power points on my HTT, to make powering it a little easier. I have never tried it for winterizing as I have a nice compressor at home, and that is the only place I ever winterize. It is nice and small. Slime does make a larger 12V compressor too.

Good luck

I have been using the tankless 12VDC POrtable air compressor (AMAZON-Q Industries MV50 for years even back in my tent camping days...

I also use the AIR ADAPTER (AMAZON) so I can input air into the city water port for blowing out the air lines..

The tankless air compressor is rated at 150PSI but i doublt if if it would ever do that successfully haha... It works great for my 60lbs tires and with the long air hose I can sit this on the dropped tail gate of the truck and connect into the trailer 12VDC battery terminals and get to all the tires on both my truck and POPUP trailer setup.

Being tankless it doesn't jump right into high pressure and slowly builds up to it. This is perfect for blowing out the water lines. Lets you walk inside and open some taps... This is perfect for us as we like to camp up into the late November/Dec times OFF-ROAD and may have to blow out some water before going to bed at night when it gets down to freezing temps. Only takes a few minutes with this setup... Then we can just add water the next day and go on...

The nice carrying case fits under my truck rear seat area just fine...

At the house i have a profesional grade 120V Air Compressor with tank setup. I have never really needed a 120VAC air compressor on the camping trips...

I have a Viair ordered after reading good reviews of it. It is 12-volt only, but it has a 100% duty cycle.

LOL! I just went and found that compressor and added it to my Amazon wish list. It lists the hose as 16ft.

The one I bought at Lowes works off both and does an adequate job.

Thanks for all your input.. I decided to order a Viair 88p. It's only 12volt but it will work for my needs. It has really good reviews in many online forums and it will store nicely in my trucks floor storage bins.
