Power go to water tank element

Have a 2011 Jay flight travel trailer. Had my h/w tank element burn out. Somehow during storage power got to it and with it empty fried it. Top of element melted some wiring on one terminal. Also the lighted on/off wouldn't shut off. Stay lit. So I ordered new element, switch and relay. So I wrote out where the wiring went to element and switch then replaced everything. Put the breaker on and I got nothing. I have power going to hot and neutral going before relay/element assembly. So there is no current interruptions. After its assembled nothing. Also too with power on and switch on, it doesn't light up. Recheck wiring. Took everything thing apart and reassembled. Fuse going to monitor panel good. Gas side works.
Relay is a American Zettler. Two power lines and a green and yellow wire.
Any ideas on this?

Do you have 12v at the control panel? Most have a 12v relay that switches the 120 ac and allows it to power the element. Mine is in a box attached to the backside of the wh.

Yes. I have 4 rockers. The other three work along with other controls. I did blow a fuse when I put the wrong female connector on a terminal on the switch. Killed everything. New fuse and fine. The order of the switch connections is correct. I took a picture of it before taking them off. As I'm writing this and reading about the rocker, I'm starting to wonder if the switch should be flipped around. As I understand it it one terminal lights the switch and the other two are power. Two terminals are same color. Might explain the blown fuse and no power back to element Trailer is a hour away. I guess I'll be chewing on that for awhile wondering.
Picture was taken before disassembling.
