Power jack not working.

I am having an intermittent problem with my jack. First of all, when it does work, it will only work when plugged in to my tv or shore power. Sometimes it doesn’t work at all. I plug it into my tv, the truck signals that a trailer is attached but jack will not work. Lights on trailer work.

Try running a jumper wire (ground) from camper to truck. If it’s a ground issue you’ll know immediately.

Has it been covered by a bucket at bag? Power-Jacks are prone for water intrusion. So as mentioned switch. Also I recommend installing an extra ground on those Power-Jacks directly from the motor.

Also try a star washer under one of the Jack bolts. Often problems come from a poor ground.
