Power Watchdog Surge suppressor

This is a loud shout out to The fine folks at Hughes Auto Transformers, specifically Brett, the "bald" guy. He told me I could say this, lol and you can find him on You tube among other places. plugged in at home yesterday after our trip and our unit, a PWD 50-EPO immediately went to red and an E9 error. it means the surge protection capability has been used up!! This unit has been in service maybe 45 days? I can still use it, however no protection. The App works, warns you of the issue but still provides all its electrical monitoring. This morning it is going from red to white which is normal every few minutes, very strange. I called late afternoon yesterday, Brett helped me. His computers were down, send me an email with all your info he said and we will go from there. About an hour later i had an email, confirming our conversation and a new surge module on the way. hard to find this kind of service these days.

That's good to know, mine has been in use for several years and has worked flawlessly!

I am hoping mine had a flaw in it. I haven't seen any signs of surges anywhere. it is technically new, so it is very strange.
