Pressure regulator

What is a safe pressure to set my regulator at ? If it is too low tankless heater will not ignite. I’m worried about it to high it will cause a leak or break a water line. Thanks

I would set it at somewhere between 50 - 60 psi, that should be optimal.

Sure, your RV is plummed with the same materials that a house is, it works for me in the 5 or 6 units that I have made memories with.

Imo 50-60psi is to high. When I blow out my water lines for winterizing it's recommended to set the compressor to 35-40psi so I don't do any damage. Rv's use plastic fittings so not really the same as your house...I would set it to 40 and see if it works. Curious how you would get 60 psi at a campground anyway or is this some other type of pressure regulator system that's needed with these tankless water heaters?

Just a quick google and I found this recommendation: So it's probably best to stay in the 50 psi range.

"The recommended water pressure for an RV is 60 psi. Some newer RVs can handle up to 100 psi, but it's important to stay within the 60 psi range to avoid stress on the plumbing system."

Have you looked in your owners manual for recommended setting? Mine says to use a 45 psi regulator when connected to city water. OTOH, my water pump manual says it's pressure switch is set to 55 psi. So somewhere in that range should be safe, in my opinion.

Most manufacturers test the lines to 100lbs. 50-60 is the recommended setting by most.
