Propane

I'd like to hook my 264bh to my house propane. How can I tie into it safely.

Welcome to the Forum from Western New York State!

My first thought is to talk to your propane supply company, they are the experts, and if it's possible at all, they would be the ones to tell you.

Interesting idea. Have not heard of anyone doing this. A number of people have installed small dedicated residential propane tanks, at there home base.

It should be just like running a line out to the patio for a gas grill. There is a number of codes that need to be followed. Around here, it can be done in soft copper, joints are brazed. When the pipe exits the ground, it has to be sleeve, for safety. A shutoff valve has to be installed at both ends. There are a number of other codes too.

Use a T , a RV propane valve with standard quick outlet (female), and RV-regulator with quick connect (male) at the supply source. Keep the hose as short as possible if you are in a very cold climate.

I would call your LP supplier and ask what a 110 gallon "pig" would cost to install and rent. That would give you 80 gallons of LP available per full fill. In my area it can be placed right beside the house or RV where larger ones aren't allowed. Then make sure they will fill both at the same visit to avoid duplicate charges.

Probably a lot cheaper than running a long pipe. Unless your in house piping can be extended through the basement wall to the RV area with a shutoff inside and outside for safety.
