Raised TT Tongue With Rear Jacks Down

So I am a new X17Z owner and I think I did something stupid. I wanted my TT to be more level while parked in my driveway so I raised the tongue jack enough to raise the trailer about 3-4 inches. It wasn't until about 10 minutes later that I realized I did this while the rear scissor jacks were down. I raised the jacks and the rear of the TT lowered a bit. Did I damage anything?

As long as you can raise and lower the rear jacks without any binding they should be ok.

I guess I was more concerned about the frame.

Everything is probably OK.

I know when did something similar (lowered the tongue jack with front stabilizers down), nothing bad happened. Well, I did kick myself (mentally) and lost some sleep over it. But no harm was done to the TT.

I think the jacks will fail long before the frame would bend. The jacks are only meant to stabilize the corners not jack the corners up. I first level side to side then run the jack to level front to rear, then I lower the corner jacks till they just touch the ground and barely move the trailer. That way I have very little weight on the corner jacks.

I'm kind of bummed that the X17z did not come with jacks on the front corners. I will see how stable it is on our first trip. If it's bouncy, I'll definitely be buying some.

Used these on all 4 corners of my 165RB and they really helped stabilize it. May not use them with my new 23RLSW, but they do come in handy.

Also, if you don't have Amazon Prime (free shipping), but do have a nearby Walmart, get 'em there and save the shipping.

You should be ok. Unless it looks like a taco. Then I'd be concerned!

IF you could bend the frame doing that then the RV would be unsafe on the road. The frame is way stronger than you think
