Rear AC on 2017 Greyhawk FK

I'm on my second AC unit and it's still not putting out cool air. The first unit did the same thing before it died altogether.

I just know that the dealership isn't keeping my coach for a month again.

They shouldn't either. Tell them to order the new one and schedule the install after it arrives. It's a 2 hr job tops..and that's without a fork lift.

Got to go through the Jayco, Dixie RV, Coleman drill again. Coleman won't ship a new AC til Dixie sends them some data. What a pile of junk, maybe it'll catch on fire Thursday.

Sounds like dealer BS.... When my 2nd one went out, dealer had it for 2 days. First one we were in FL and JAYCO approved replacement same day service guy arrived at my site, got new one the next day.

Let me get this straight. You got a 2017 model and both AC units have failed? Is this what I have to look forward to on my 2017? Good grief! I thought I was only going to have to deal with the coach body issues, so now even the appliances are no dang good !

It has been discussed before, component issues are prevalent too, Norcold, Coleman, Attwood, Carefree, Suburban and those are totally out of JAYCO's control

Only having issues with the rear AC and other minor stuff. Right now it seems to never end. NO QUALITY CONTROL. This will be the third rear AC, Coleman is a piece of crap.

Just thinking out load. Would there be an alternative brand to the Coleman? If it happens to me I don't want to keep buying the same junk.

Dometic would be the other big time AC brand. However your Coleman troubles surprise me as Coleman is typically the more reliable brand between the two.

Case in point when I had a A/C problem w/ MY Coleman down at Fort Wilderness I called the camp recommended mobile RV place. The guy on the phone took my info and when it got to the AC he was surprised it was a Coleman. He said something to the effect of having pallets of Dometics in stock "because they break all the time" but he would have to order the Coleman b/c they almost never see them w/ problems.

Now - truth be told I DID have a problem - but it was entirely due to the way the unit sucks in its supply air into the return if the seperating piece of insulation isn't properly seated. Easily fixed by me at camp (a bit of a pain though). My dealer supposedly did something to make my camp fix permanent, but I sold my rig shortly after so I can't say for sure if it stayed fixed or even what the dealer ended up doing.

The coach is still under warranty. If it was my money I would.

Finally, rear AC fixed. Tech found a wire not connected, bet there was nothing wrong with the first AC.

Troubleshooting is a dying art form.

Our Coleman's have been running great.

I had to really ring some bells to get the on going problems resolved. The service manager now knows who I am.

I had a running joke with our old RV service center. Every time they did work for us they would leave one thing undone. Leave the generator remote start switch unplugged. Didn't reconnect a ground wire. etc.

Had a bet with the service manager. Every time I had to 'finish' the job he'd give me a 10% discount. I got the discount twice before he got their act in order.
