Replacement bulbs

I own a 2015 Whitehawk 28DSBH. Light bulb went out in bathroom. Where do you buy replacement bulbs? Thank you!

First I would take the burned out bulb to a local RV Dealer...they should have replacements of all sizes.

If that doesn't work Home Depot, Lowes or a hardware store. Key is to take the bulb along you need to replace.

Replace it with an LED.

Don't the new Jaycos have lights that are integrated LED units, where the entire fixture needs replaced, or is that just in some models? Or am I confused?

This is correct. I opened it and it's integrated. So, is are the led "special" lights replaceable or I do I have to get the entire fixture? and where?

If it came OEM with LEDs, you're right, the element cannot be replaced (reasonably), so it's the whole fixture. IF I had OEM LEDs in my trailer and I lost one, I'd ask for a warranty replacement (and probably install it myself). If I was not under warranty, I would replace it with a standard fixture with a removable LED of my choosing (I have my favorite) instead of a regular bulb.

Just my pair o' pennies.

Wasn't there a thread here somewhere that described how a new LED lamp can be installed in one of these fixtures, without having to replace the entire thing?

And I agree with CamperBob, you might as well get it replaced under warranty if you're still within the warranty period. Maybe you could talk to the dealer or call Jayco customer service and see if they'd just send you a new unit.

I don't recall seeing that specifically, though it's been discussed in several different places. From what I can tell from pictures of the fixtures, you could probably replace it if you're handy with wires and soldering; the elements are soldered onto the wires from the switch IIRC. In that case I would probably try to put a "female" receptacle in the fixture as opposed to re-hard wiring a new element. But really, the fixtures themselves aren't that expensive (I just bought one from Amazon for like $10), and you'd have to buy the new element anyway.

But again, if you're under warranty, give your dealer a call. My dealer is good about me providing the labor and them providing the parts. It saves us both a whole lot of time and effort (and money).

Of course, all of this assumes it's truly the fixture that's bad. I guess I would back up a few steps and put a volt meter on the wires just to make sure...

Update:
I called a dealer a few towns over and they confirmed that I have to order the entire fixture. I'm not a fan of the fixture anyway, so I will replace it with one that's more appealing. I'm also out of warranty since I'm the second owner. Thanks for all the replies. This site is awesome.

Unless it's one of the integrated LED's Lowe's Home Depot.
I took a bulb out of one of the dinette lights, no bulb markings, to Lowe's. Employee in electric took one look @ the bulb went to the bulbs and handed me a T3? 20w halogen. Purrrfect fit
