Replacing the A/C gasket

I have a Coleman ducted air conditioner. Has anyone replaced the gasket? Are the four bolts on the inside all that has to be removed to replace the gasket?

If someone has done this could you describe everything that must be done to replace this gasket. Bolts? Wires? Covers? Hidden things? Anything that should be cautioned? Preparation?

Here's a video of installation.
Should just be reversal of these steps.
Usually 4 screws on inside cover, then 4 long screws in 4 corners after you remove the inside cover.

Top side, I guess remove the cover, 4 screws and she should be loose.

You'll probably have to discoonect the power connection in the junction box inside so you can lift the a/c unit up to replace the gasket.

Probably a 2 person job, but should not be difficult.

Thanks. I had seen the video already. It was almost useless as they don't even mention the gasket.

The second link makes reference to more bolts that need to be removed at the roof end but no indication of where they are located.
"Use a ladder to reach the top of your RV, where you'll remove the bolts and then the air-conditioner."

I'll take your word for it that it should be difficult. Maybe it's time for the dealer to do it.

Correction: I meant to say it is not a difficult job.

Not all ac units will have the bolts on the top.
Once you remove the cover top and bottom, the bolts will be obvious.
The electrical will be in a junction box on the inside under the cover.

You'll want to flip the breaker before disconnecting electrical.

Once you get into it, it will be pretty straight forward if your handy.

If your not mechanically inclined and know basic electrical, then best to take it to dealer.

Probably $150 job at dealer, just guessing.

Thanks, again. I am fairly competent when it comes to these things. I just hate starting a job like this and and have a surprise show up preventing the completion of the job.

Just watching the install, not a biggy.
I watched them put the one in my popup, nothing you can't do.

I think the bolts your talking about from the top are if the long bolts come down from the roof side and have nuts on the inside.

Take the nuts off from the inside and then go to the top side to remove the bolts.

Just picked up a new seal the other day at CW. Going to hopefully install it this coming weekend if the weather is decent. I'll take pics and post them up if anyone wants to see them.

Got three words of wisdom from the CW tech guy at the store: lay a piece of plywood ontop of old blanket on roof to set removed AC unit on and not the bare roof itself, NO sealants just clean surface areas and install, lastly DO NOT over tighten AC bolts over new gasket this will almost guarantee a leak at some point.

Sounds like gasket shouldn't be compressed to more than 1/2"

Was reading where the AC units often have a 1/2 flange, you tighten until this comes into contact with roof.
