Replacing TV -- Do I Have to Buy a Special Brand

We are buying a used Jayco Jayflight 28bhbe and I noticed that the tv was not included in the pictures on the dealer's website. Do I have to buy a special type of tv to replace it? I'd like to shop the sales this month if possible. For those of you who live in cooler climates, do you take your tv out of the travel trailer during the winter months when your TT is in storage?

TIA!

We have replaced both TVs in each of our last 3 motorhomes and never had a concern or problem with standard household sets.

Years ago there were reports of problems with plasma TVs in RVs but never anything about LCD/LED sets.

No special type of tv. I ordered my 28BHBE without the tv because the cost isn't worth the tv you get. I put a 39" LG in mine and it works great.

I guess I'll find out. I left the Furrion 39" AND the Insignia 26" both in the camper for the long new england winter. We'll see how it goes when I fire them up in the spring!

The biggest criteria should be viewing angle. Some of the cheaper sets still do not have a good viewing angle. It's actually a bigger deal in a trailer than for home.

Nope. Storage temps and operating temps are completely different. I won't be watching the super bowl this year in my TT. It will be fine till spring.

We've had units with JAYCO provided RCA, SHARP, VISIO and the off brands. All held up well

Agreed, viewing angles can be an issue on cheaper tvs. The LG I got is pretty good at angles. I also bought a fully articulating Morryde tv mount. It works great.

Nothing special about an RV tv. Winter cold is just fine. They ship them across the activities north all winter on trains and trucks.
