Roadmaster AS vs. Hellwig Pro Series
I know there's lots of discussion out there on Roadmaster Active Suspension (RAS) vs. various air-bag setups, or Timbrens, but I couldn't find a lot of discussion directly comparing the Roadmaster and the Hellwig.
They both seem to accomplish the same thing, but the Hellwig looks like it might be a bit less expensive for my application... And I'm leaning away from air bags because, like many others, if I do it, I'm going all the way with compressors and in-dash gauges and controls; that's much more expensive. I'd also rather have something much more passive that I don't have to monitor and inspect constantly...
Has anyone had experience with one or the other in a 1/2 ton application? The good/bad/ugly?
I don't want to significantly change un-loaded conditions, but I'd like to have a little help while loaded and towing since I'm right at my max...
