I am considering a Garmin RV 760LMT GPS. What unit do you use and why do you like (or hate) it?

I have the Rand McNally RVND 7710 and has been a great GPS for me. I like the 7" screen and the RV specific features.

before the new TV we used the iPhone and one of the map apps and/or the iPad that I bought a gps receiver for ($100). The new TV has built in GPS

I have the Rand McNally RVND 7710 and has been a great GPS for me. I like the 7" screen and the RV specific features.
We use the same one as Bob. I like that I can put in all the details about my rig and it will re-route me around low bridges and such.

I have the Garmin RV 760LMT and love it. It also has the 7" screen and a backup camera option - I don't have that. One of the features that I really like is that I can run multiple profiles - I have two, one for TV only, the other for the TV & TT combination. It will route you based on the profile you have selected, so you do have to be careful that you've chosen the correct one.
I'm not overly impressed with the trip mapping software (BaseCamp), but that could be that I just haven't used it enough yet.

Pick a trip you'd like to do. Try entering it in the Garmin and Rand McNally with your vehicle info (size weight length and perfs). I tried the Garmin Truck/RV in a store, need more time to understand how to enter info. Bought the Rand McNally at an RV show. Easy to follow screens, it's ready to go in less than 10 minutes (if you know vehicles).

Just did a Google search and found a link to a guy that has the Rand McNally 7710 for $60 bucks with free shipping! Granted they are used, but the seller says they are fully working! So Tempting....

I have the Garmin Dezl 560LMT which is similar, but truck specific. It works well with height clearances and finding exit services when I am on the road. I also keep a truckers atlas handy for confirming the routes that the GPS spits out. I use it mostly for finding gas and truck stops as my routing is usually planned ahead of time.
Routing is good overall, but as with any GPS some don't always give you the best route.

I ordered a 760LMT with the idea to install the wireless b/u camera with it. The GPS was great, but after trying 2 Garmin cameras and not being able to get them to work with the GPS, I sent both the cameras and the GPS back. I later bought another 760LMT to use in a new motorhome that already had a b/u camera. This unit was a factory refurbished unit, shipped with the wrong USB cable and, using a Garmin cable that I already had for another Garmin product, wasn't recognized by the software program, thus unable to update maps, software, etc. Sent it back.
I like the features of the unit, particularly bluetooth capabilities and the hands free speech recognition. However, given the issues that I've had with the units, I'm leery to order yet another unit from them. Your mileage may vary.

I have the 560. Double check your routes with the automobile mode. Sometime it will run you way out of route because it doesn't know about every road. I had mine run me 400 miles out of the way once vs. automobile mode which turned out to be ok for my rv as well.
