Seismic, bad tv booster switch?
Has anyone ever had a bad booster switch? We have had our Seismic since 2017 and never had a problem with tv reception. When we arrived at this park I couldn't get any cable channels. We could get some air channels though, with the booster on as it should be. So, I ran my outside cable and made a direct connection to the tv, by-passing the booster switch and received all channels. I hooked cable up to the cable connector at the control panel and no cable channels once again. I then hooked up the the aux. port and once again I could receive all channels, so this tells me that the problem is either in the cabling between the control panel and the booster switch or the booster switch itself. My guess would be the switch but, how do you tell for sure? In order to get the switch out I need to take the stereo/dvd player out to disconnect the cables. The hole they cut in the cabinet where it is mounted is only large enough for the circuit board to fit through. With the aux cable on top and the sat and antennae cable connected at the bottom and coming up from below there is no way the switch will come out without disconnecting from behind, thus needing to take out the stereo/dvd. So, before I go to all that trouble I would like to be relatively sure it is the switch. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
