Shower leak

We have a new 2019 Precept Prestige Class A and after we use the shower it has a leak right at the bottom of the shower base and ends up running all along the bathroom getting everything wet including bottom cabinet. Has anyone else had issues and any idea what it takes to fix it?

It looks like (from web pictures) you may have a 3 glass shower door similar to the one on our Alante. We had the same/similar issue issue. Turns out on ours, in the area where the lower aluminum shower door track meets the vertical aluminum piece, was not sealed/caulked very good and allowed the water to run out onto the floor, run along the shower base and lower cabinet. I caulked the area mentioned and also along the vertical aluminum pieces as well as where the vertical shower walls meet the shower pan. Problem solved! I hope this helps.

Thank you! We will try that

Had the same thing happen on our C. It was in the corner where there are drain holes in the track. A little clear caulk as recommended should fix it... no leaks 2 years later.

Two things that have been common problems in these rigs. First, many people have experienced where the bottom track rests on the fiberglass shower pan wasn't caulked, allowing water to seep under and leak. Many had to run a bead of caulk (me included) along that inside edge.

A second problem is that Jayco cuts out a large section of the plywood that supports the shower pan, to allow the drain line connection. This causes a "spongey" feel to the shower base in that area. If your shower pan feels spongey near the drain fitting, there's a good chance the drain fitting underneath is leaking.

My drain fitting actually broke and flooded the rig. I had to cut open the access hole, cut out and replace all the drain fittings, and add more plywood and support blocks. Open your access hole and look in to see if it's wet in there.

A little off the topic of caulking the current door but consider this before you suffer with the tri-glass door clanging and banging going down the road, or interfering with your room in the shower. I did this replacement door. My wife loves not having to clean glass, I love not listening to the doors bang around and it took all of about 20 minutes to install. Getting the old doors out took more time just because they are heavy.
