SHURflo accumulator

Ok just got a SHURflo accumulator,I would like to here from guys who have them and who installed them.are they easy to install I only found one video on YouTube and it sucked.thanks

I have one and like it. It reduces the cycling of the water pump. It seems to quiet the noise of the water pump also.

I found an easy to access stretch of cold water line under the bathroom sink. I cut the line and put a 'T' PEX fitting there. I ran a single line of PEX tubing from the 'T' fitting to the accumulator. I attached a PEX fitting to the line that screwed on to one fitting of the accumulator. I put a cap on the fitting on the other side of the accumulator. I mounted the accumulator with the fittings down, so the accumulator would 'self drain'. I figured that would make it easier when it came time for winterizing each fall.

I have one in our current camper and we had one in our 2007 Jay Feather. They are well worth the little cost. I always install the accumulator with the addition of the pump silencing hose kit. That way there is no cutting of the hoses and if need be I can remove the accumulator and put it back to stock. I mount them within reach of the 30" hoses in the silencing kit. The accumulator is part number 182-200 and silencing kit is 94-591-01.

I also wrap the hoses in split pool noodles anywhere the hose touches the floor, wall or anything else. This makes a HUGE difference. We can barely hear our pump run.

I have read about this mod for years and have entertained it but we hardly ever use the pump except for short times for bath stops when on the road.
I see a great advantage when dry camping but see no benefit otherwise.
Does anyone have a reason to add it in my situation. I even have one but hesitate to add it.

They are only intended for quieting pumps and not all pumps need one. I I.stalled one in my last rv and it helped alot but the pump in my Eagle, according to shurflo, has no need for one.

I ran mine right from the pressure side of the pump
