Slideout wiring, exterior

Hi all...recently had a flat that ripped out slideout wiring, exterior...fixed the connections....now...how does the wiring get retracted with the slideout...is there something that is supposed to hold it? Thanks in advance!

My 2 slides with electrical service have an arm that is hinged in the center. The wires are tie wrapped to it. As the slide extends or retracts the arm straightens or folds. You don’t say what the slide mechanism is but the ones I’m describing are “old school” thru frame, LCI I think. The arm is visible in the pic below. Side note: consider a TPMS.

Grrrr, prop your iPad against the sofa and lay on the floor to study the pic.

Tbell, I was thinking about this and got curious. A little surfing turned this up.

It serves the same purpose and I guess it’s a “new and improved” design.
