Solar install from TL

In the July issue of Trailer Life they show a double panel solar installation on an Artic Fox travel trailer. What makes it interesting is that many of us have similar trailer floor plans that have the front bedroom and a front storage compartment underneath. It was interesting how the installers approached this project. They mounted the charge controller in the storage compartment which would make it awkward to see. I wonder if it could be mounted in the same compartment but placed so you could read it from the bedroom thru a opening. I think it needs to be close to the battery but not sure. The battery sensor monitor they mounted in the closet. This doesn't have any read outs by the looks of it and wondered why would they leave this in a hot closet rather than in the storage compartment also. I know it's easy to criticize someone else's work but maybe there is a reason for doing it this way. Did you see the article?
