Solar Power Parts Buying List

The time is right for me to buy the parts and commit to the solar installation and conversion.

I haven't settled on any particular mfr or parts yet, just some things of interest. Since I need for my rig to be 100% powered-up, highly available, no exceptions, I'm thinking of redundancies for the CC and inverters. Each would carry a smaller load than rated and if one died I would SWITCH the input or output till I got the replacement.

I decided not to use any flexible flat on the roof panels. I'll populate the roof with the most bang for the buck.

I'll add and subtract from the list depending on recommendations, here's a few of the things I have bookmarked and have looked into.

Batteries:

4 x 100Ah (16x3.2v)
or
4 x BB10012 - Battle Born 12V 100Ah

Batteries Accessories:

12V SIMPLE LITHIUM LiFePo4 BMS

Charge Controller:

ECPC-12V-48V-100A-ML-SC
(or maybe 2x the 75A)

Panels:

Renogy 320w

DC-DC Alternator charger:

Lithium Battery Isolation Manager

Inverter:

Renogy RNG-INVT-3000-12V-P2
or
Victron Energy Inverter, Phoenix 12V 1200VA 120V
(x2)

Converter/Transfer Switch =??

I'm not listing fuses or bussbar or cables etc.

What I'm more interested in is why YOU bought what you did, such as warranty, price range etc. If you're really happy with parts and or service thus far a link would be helpful. Please don't preach theories, calculations or how-to's in this thread.

Thanks in advance.

No-one bought any of these brands?

I've pretty much boiled it down to Renogy, Victron or MorningStar. I can't (don't want to) afford the TriStar MPPT60M and some others.

I wanted redundancy with the CC and inverters but I'll probably back-pedal from that plan too for now.

The battery cells are still $2k plus the 1 BMS, but that's cheaper than $3800 for 4 of the BattleBorne batts. I eliminated the Costco offering.

The next task is seeing how many of the larger wattage panels I can mount up there with the least wasted space.

In order to just pull the trigger finally I think I'll go with 400Ah batts, 100A CC and 3kw pure sine inverter and peripherals and call it good for now.

Any thoughts . . hints, regrets?
