Suggestions for NOAA Weather Radio

Can’t think of a better place to post this question. Since everyone here obviously travels, I am looking for anyone’s best suggestion for a good, NOAA alert weather radio. We will be traveling through tornado alley shortly and we figure this might be a great item for us to have 24x7. Please post a link if you can think of a good model radio. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated..

One of two the weather apps we have on our cell phones gives us weather warnings for what ever area we are in with a loud tone then displays the warning. When not in cell coverage a emergency radio that will receive a NOAA signal and can be charged with a as a worst case scenario

This is the one that we keep in the trailer at all times:

Midland Weather Alert Radio

It comes with a replaceable lithium-ion battery that can be recharged via USB, a hand crank or a small solar panel on top of the unit. It also can be run on 6 AA batteries so very versatile from a power source perspective.

Heck your campers radio. Ours has a separate button to flip to the weather band. I did not even notice the button the 1st year or so.

I have a weather radio, we tend to keep in the TT. What I like is it is small, waterproof, uses a 9v battery. I have been in some very remote places, and it has always picked up a band. Cell phone, not so much.

Mine is like 30+ years old.
I doubt it is even still available.

We keep one of these in our camper. It was about $30 and does the job we need it to do. It has an alarm that will wake the dead.

Don't forget Radio Shack online store.....that company used to be the 'king' of putting weather radio circuits in a lot of what they peddled.
