Tongue Jack

We want to put a JXC Toung jack. It can be operated with an electric drill. I have a drill now so I won’t need to purchase one. I don’t know if I need the 2000 lb. rated or the 5000 lb jack. Our hybird weight is 3500 lbs loaded. Do we need the 5000 lb? Is the 2000 lb to under raided and will fail because the trailer is 3500 lbs ?

You’re only lifting the tongue of the trailer, not the whole trailer. Tongue weight is 10-15% of total trailer weight. You should be fine with a 2000lb jack. However you can get a hard wired (to your battery) electric tongue jack for about $200-$300.
