Can you leave the 7 pin trailer plug connected to your tow vehicle when plugged into the 50 amp campground power?

I don't see any reason why you couldnt, 12 vdc in from the tow vehicle to the battery and your 12 vdc appliances and 12 vdc out of the inverter to the battery. 50 a in from the pole into the inverter is @ 120 vac and you are only using what you have turned on up to 50 a

Personally, I would not, for 2 reasons..

When plugged into the tow, you are supplying DC to the trailer and battery. The trailer, once connected to AC source, then charges the battery and runs the 12volt. I would not want the converter in the trailer to send the dc back to my tow battery.. Just bad juju to me.

IF there ever was a surge in the 50A supply, it is possible to sent it all the way into the tow vehicle, disabling both.

Even though the Ford F150 disconnects the trailer circuit when the ignition is in the off position, I still do not leave it plugged in to the truck.

Just my thoughts,
