Trimetric 2025 RV install

New White Hawk 27DSRL Owner here. I am planning on doing quite a bit of boondocking and decided the first thing to do was install the Trimetric 2025 to be able to monitor what is going on. The install was easy but time consuming as I needed tools and parts that took time to find.

Mounted the shunt outside behind the battery and ran the wire to the bedroom along an existing able run.

Hope this gives some ideas on how to get 'er done!

Will be getting rid of the stock 66 Amp-Hour battery for 2 6v deep cycle soon.

I just installed my tri-metric prior to memorial day weekend. Not nearly as pretty as your install. Great job! Stay tuned though, I plan on mounting inverter/charger and solar charge controller to the same wall I did my temp install on the shunt for the tri-metric. I agree, adding the TriMetric is a useful upgrade for boondocking and have one installed in my TT.

Great details Big Sky. I probably should have added more words along with the pictures that described how i arrived at the decision where and how to run the wiring.

We both know TriMetric's benefits for boondocking, but I have found that it's also a great device to monitor the performance of my up-graded converter/charger by monitoring the charging modes.

I went with just three panel meters with two DC VOLTMETERS monitoring both my battery banks and one DC AMPMETER monitoring the selected input/output feeding the battery banks. The monitoring is crucial if you want to know what is happening to your batteries when camping off the power grid..

The only thing I would like to have now is remote alarms to tell me I am approaching 50% charge state which the TRIMETRIC provides.


All of my battery wiring is using PVC flexible conduit and PVC Electrical Junction boxes as well.
