TV Speakers

When watching TV the only speakers we have are the ones in the TV. Since we have a rear living RV (Jayco 26RLS) it is hard to hear or nearly impossible to hear with the fan or A/C on.

The stereo and CD player audio comes through all the overhead speakers but not the TV audio.

Is this normal or something that was missed at the factory or I am doing something wrong?

Do you have the radio on? I think there is a setting on it to play the tv audio over the speakers.

Not in the RV at this time. Haven't noticed any switch like this but will check it out.

Thanks

Mine has it but the poor quality of the speakers sounded terrible. We installed an inexpensive sound bar and the sound is much better. It has it's on remote.

also it has bluetooth, so I can play my iphone music thru it if I want.

We have a 2016 Seneca with the same problem. Can only get the radio to play through living room speakers.

My TV has an audio out jack with a coax that connects to the aux audio input on the Jensen.

Yep - try Zone 2 on the radio.
That's what I need to do.

We got it cured. Found a Youtube video that explained everything. The tech specialist in the house (my wife) now has the audio from the TV playing through the rear speakers.

Thanks everyone.

Just go to Youtube and type in Jensen TV Audio Options.

This should get you right there.

I had the same issue in my Alante, the tiny TV speakers were no match for the furnace noise. After being told by the Jayco tech at the dealer (yep, I know) that there was no connection to output the Tv to the ceiling speakers I pointed out the audio/video out cable connected to the TV. So I pulled the Jensen stereo and found the cables just laying in there, not connected to anything (Surprise!) So I just plugged them in to the Aux in and selected Aux on the Jensen and now I have sound out of all four ceiling speakers. Why am I not surprised?

Yes, the headphones output of the TV to the Aux input of the stereo is the ticket.
Now if you really want some improvement - I opened up the cabinet to get to the back of the stereo and ran a line from the "sub out" through the cabinet down to the floor. I took the sub from our home theater out to the trailer and hooked it up. I said "Check it out honey, isn't it great?" She said "You don't plan on hauling that around, do you?" I guess that meant she didn't think it made the system sound better...
