Vented or unvented combo washer/dryer

DW said get a washer/dryer now. She wants the combo style so it doesn't take so much of our closet. I would rather not have to add a vent but if the vented is really much better then no problem.
Our trips are usually no more than 7 days and avg. maybe 4 days so capacity not a big deal. Looking at Splindide but open to suggestions.

I install the vented but I can't compare to the non-vented one I install it myself and yes I work up the nerve to drill a 4' hole in the side of my fiver. Someone that have the non-vented will chime in but it was one of the best mod I did, it's a game changer.

We go out f few times for 3 to 4 days but when we go out for our long trip about two week it's working fine.

I definitely would go vented, the invented take 2-3 times longer to dry the load over a vented.

I have the non-vented and it’s been fine for us thus far. I found it on Facebook marketplace and couldn’t pass up the deal. I had been looking for a used Splendide in either the vented or non-vented for a little over a year. For the amount of use it would get, I didn’t want to pay the “new” price. The longest we’ve been out is 2 weeks. I have discovered that you want to put the non-vented unit on the lowest drying cycle so the clothes don’t come out really wrinkled. We take them out, hang some, and they finish drying in about 30 mins or so.

Definitely vented. 11 years full time. Still works great.

Thinking some more. Seems we are stuck with ventless without some extra work. On our 2011 321RLTS the closet is across the front cap & on the passenger side is a cabinet full of drawers & the wall between closet & cabinet is where hookups are.
Going out to farm today & measure and look closer at hookup area. After 10 years you would think I allready know the details of this area of 5er. Also is Splindide the preferred brand ?

I have a splendid combo, it uses the plumbing drain to vent the machine. Yes there are a lot of complaints about this unit and it’s limits. However, if you try to do laundry like it was a regular machine - you will continue to get poor results. Once you understand it’s limits it will produce good results.

If you want the w/d they expect you to remove the drawers, or at least some of them. That is the optional w/d cabinet.

Im sitting here on the bed measureing everything & you are correct. This may make the Boss change her mind about rv washer/dryer.
How do the drawer sludes release if she says go ahead ?

There are little black tabs at the end of the slide. One pushes up and one pushes down.

We have a '21 Pinnacle 36FBTS. We weighed the pros and cons of the whole operation. She was for it until dealer told her these don't work anywhere near as good as what a home W/D does. Then he told her she would lose X amount of space, that cinched the deal, no W/D. She says she has enough closet space to pack for over a month and not do laundry, lol.The two parks we have been to since buying the unit, I walked in to check their facilities and they were more than adequate, just need quarters.

We have a Splendide ventless unit, 7100XC. Initially was an issue, taking forever to dry. We figured out that the drain hose was too far down the plumbing pipe, bottoming out. Once we got that sorted, works very well. Much easier install than a vented unit, but does take a bit more time to dry. Has not been a issue for us, as we do other things while it is running.

Just dont expect the drying time to be like that of a home unit, as these are running on 120v power.
