Water Conection Set-Up

What is your water connection set up? Why?

Just purchase our first trailer and thinking about this set up...

City Water > Regulator > Hose > Fliter > Elbow > TT

My water set up for the 2017 season posted a few days ago...

City Water > Water Filter* > $55 Regulator > Water Hose > Water Fiiter** > Water Hose > 90* Elbow > TT?

* Camco blue standard filter to get grit out before the $55 regulator.

** filter cartridge 5 micron barrier and Granulated activated carbon

Why? Because the inexpensive regulator reduced and the better water filter reduced the flow too much for good showers for our 2016 season. The good water filter is necessary to remove taste and odors that the standard water filter does not remove at some campgrounds.

I could swear I just saw another tread on this - I think it started as a question about pressure regulators.

I tried to find a photo that showed my setup but nothing is close enough to see.

At the trailer I have a 90%. On the end of that I have a snap connector. Both of these stay on my RV 365 days a year. They stick nicely out of the opening for the control center which I never open unless I'm using the black tank flush.
On the faucet end I have a six inch spring covered hose, the pressure regulator, a Camco cartridge filter and a snap fitting. All this is stored connected - it just stays together.
All of my hoses have snap fittings on them.
I screw the spring hose/regulator/filter onto the water bib.
I click a hose onto the bottom of the filter, I click the other end to the trailer and I'm done. If I need a longer hose, I have 2 extensions, both have snap fittings on each end so I can add them quickly.

Here's how I do it:
water to the TT:
park water supply, regulator, splitter, water filter, hose, 90' elbow, TT
other side of splitter:
hose, nozzle (used for general clean up, dishes, black tank flush hook up, etc)
Happy camping!

We just rely on the el cheapo inline "regulator" for its grit screening and "regulation"

I've been considering one of those fancy watts regulators, but no one has ever complained about not enough water flow out of the shower head.

That's how my setup is, minus the regulator.

City water > Splitter > hose > Filter > Pressure restricter > 90 > trailer.

other side of splitter runs garden hose for fire pit (if needed) and septic(Black tank) flush
