Water Heater temp

Hi all - This is my first post. We upgraded from a PUP to the X23B two weeks ago. The water heater water temp out of the tap is HOT! I looked for and didn't find a thermostat setting for the water heater, but wondering if anyone knows of one. I believe it's an Arco brand in ours. The only place I didn't look was underneath the styrofoam insulation cover, but it didn't feel like it was supposed to come off.

Thanks!

Check the brand If its a Atwood the newer DSL heaters do not have a way to adjust temp But you can try adjusting the bypass valve on the HW heater which will allow a mixing of the hot and cold before it get to the sinks/shower

No mater what heater you have if there ib any adjustment it would be in the heater compartment

Check on line, with the make model numbers for the manual for the heater.

Our '13 23B had a gas only Atwood water heater. On the gas control there was a round blue disk that set the temperature. Our 5th has a gas/110v Atwood heater that is not adjustable. I've heard a lower temp thermostat can be used to change the temp. I've also read that, like Bed says, the bypass can be used to mix a little cold water into the hot-side outlet.

As stated, the temp is not adjustable on some. If your water heater is under your bathroom sink, the water is HOT and right now! You can swap out the horrible factory faucet for a single lever faucet. Then the hot & cold water is mixed when you turn on the water.

Thank you for all of your feedback! Yes, it's an Atwood...I was incorrect. I'll try mixing some cold water it. Thanks again! These forums are always so helpful, I found the same with the popup portal from our last camper.
