water leak?

My jayco when not level on a campsite and a little off towards the right side will cause a leak by the refrigerator wall. If the unit is level from the backside no problem even in heavy rain. I have checked the roof and everything looks tight up there. No damage because the problem stops when level and no problem when pulling even in heavy rains. Could the problem be the refrigerator roof vent on that side. It is covered and caulked. It looks good. Or the vent door for the refreigator on the same side it is closed tight. Again everything seems tight and this happens every time its raining and its not level from the back if sitting. Heavy rain today unit level from back sitting in driveway no problem. The unit is a 2011 24fbs out of warranty. The dealer is 5hrs away and the owners son was not helpful after the sale. I love this unit other than having to back into a sight but thats another story. Jayco has been good with answers but this is alittle odd! Any advice would be a big help. Maybe I am not seeing something or these units need to be somewhat level when parked? Thanks for reading!

You have half of the battle figured out, if you can replicate the problem. Easy solution just make sure you keep it is level (just kid’n). Water can migrate from the far side and drip down where your visible issue is located, so check every thing roof related. My parents had a leak for years and could not find it. They found the antenia was not properly sealed internally and the water came in through the seal, ran down the antenia wire and dripped off the wire about 10 feet from the antenia.

On most TTs you can remove the refrigerator roof vent. I would remove it and inspect the passage, it might give you a water stain that you can track back to the problem.

I would also go through every penitration site and check the caulk and fasteners for potential leaks. Make sure to check themounting bolts for the AC unit, they have a tendicy to loosen up. But do not over torque them as you will crush the seal, then you will not be able to tighten it up any more in the future.

Wish I could be more help.

Could it possibly be the drip hose. If your trailer has one and it is not routed outside it could drip on the floor and run into the trailer if it is not level.
